It’s no big deal for me as I’ve always loved animals and currently I have just ducks as my last dog died since April last year and since then, haven’t gotten another but hope to someday

Sorry to hear about your dog, Obari I know how hard that can be.

It’s great that you still have your ducks, though, and I’m sure they keep things interesting!

Hopefully, when the time is right, you’ll find the perfect dog to join your family again.

Yeah I prefer our local breed of dogs because they’re less expensive to care for and as for the ducks, I think I have about 6 of them and it gives me joy knowing I do

That’s great, Obari! Local breeds are definitely a smart choice, and six ducks? That’s awesome! It’s clear how much joy they bring you.

Right now, I don't have any pets, though last year I had dogs, and he died and I couldn't do anything for him, so it's like I got a phobia after those events, it's like I felt like I wasn't worth taking care of a pet.

So I don't take care of a pet for now, though I am planning in the future to take care of one again but not this time, it's like I'm not finished moving on from my deceased pet dog.

I understand how you feel but one thing you also have to know is that, death is certain and everyone regardless of the form we came out from ought to die and you shouldn’t have to blame yourself for the dead of your dog especially when the death wasn’t intentionally caused by you and even it was, the first step to being sorry is accepting our fault and since you already feel guilty about the dead, then that alright and you should forgive yourself and possibly get another pet which I’m sure you’ll do better caring for it this time.

But if you aren’t emotionally stable to do so, then it’s fine but always try to love yourself genuinely if you want to love others including animals

Thank you very much for the sweet reminders and advice about this matter, no worries, I will still take care of it in the near future, just not right now, my friend. I know that having a pet at home is still different.

In fact, I am planning to take care of a dog again, and a cat as well so that the surroundings inside my home where I live with my family will be different.
