Based Monsta operates on a 12-month cycle. During each cycle, a portion of transaction taxes is directed to a vault that accumulates value throughout the year. At the end of the cycle, participants can engage in a burn-to-claim mechanism, where they burn their $MONSTA tokens to claim their proportional share of the vault’s rewards. Any unclaimed rewards roll over into the next cycle, boosting its starting value.​

The protocol also introduces Keys to the Vault, a gamified NFT minting system. Each month, a new NFT key is available for minting. Collecting all 12 keys during the cycle unlocks access to additional bonus rewards from the vault. This feature is designed to encourage consistent participation and engagement throughout the cycle.
