Wayru is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) committed to democratizing internet access through a global, blockchain-powered WiFi network. Token Dynamics & Data Credits​

$WAYRU tokens follow a regular emission schedule and can be burned to generate Data Credits (DC), the exclusive currency for premium services.

A fixed supply, combined with burning mechanics, underpins scarcity and value growth.

Reward Distribution & Emissions​

Epoch-Based Emissions: Tokens are disbursed per epoch, based on network performance, and last 100 years (36,525 epochs). 1 Epoch = 1 Day.

Network Rewards Split: Hotspots receive 80% of the 4.5 B pool; Oracles receive 20% (900 M).

wUBI (Wayru Universal Basic Income)​

wUBI rewards are based on hotspot uptime and service quality. To be eligible, operators must deposit 5,000 $WAYRU tokens, locked for 30 days. Rewards are determined by meeting the following criteria:

• Heartbeats: Hourly signals confirming hotspot operation.
  
  
• Radio Uptime: Continuous broadcasting of Wayru WiFi SSIDs.
  
  
• Latency: Maintaining latency below 50ms.
  
  
• Minimum Usage: At least three daily user connections, increasing annually.
  

Hotspots are tiered from 1 to 5 based on performance, affecting their share of the wUBI reward pool.

wUPI (Wayru Usage Participation Incentive)​

wUPI rewards are based on data usage, categorized as:

• Premium Data: Purchased by telcos; 1 GB equals 1 point.
  
  
• Freemium Data: Accessed via the Wayru app; 100 GB equals 1 point.
  
  
• Unsettled Data: OpenRoaming or similar; 1,000 GB equals 1 point.
  

Rewards are calculated by dividing the wUPI pool by the total network usage score and multiplying by each hotspot's usage score.

Multipliers​

Wayru employs a multipliers system to incentivize strategic deployments and optimal performance. Factors influencing multipliers include:

• Boosted Hexes: Deploying in high-demand areas.

• Network Speed: Providing high-speed connections.
  
  
• Overcrowding: Avoiding densely populated hotspot areas.
  
  
• Proximity: Optimal spacing between hotspots.
  

Multipliers adjust the final reward calculations for both wUBI and wUPI, promoting network efficiency and coverage.
