ZKAI is a privacy-focused AI infrastructure project launched in October 2024 by a team based in EU. The project aims to integrate advanced privacy safeguards into AI applications by developing a decentralized AI firewall layer for users and developers. ZKAI's architecture enables sensitive data to be filtered, anonymized, and protected before interacting with cloud-based large language models (LLMs) or AI agents.

The project’s core offering includes SecureGPT, a privacy-enhanced AI chat platform that routes queries through encrypted layers, including TOR circuits, while applying entity recognition (NER) models to detect and redact personal identifiers. ZKAI also supports EdgeAI integration, allowing users to deploy privacy-focused AI solutions on local or mobile environments without relying on centralized servers.

In addition to its proprietary AI firewall, ZKAI is building a suite of decentralized AI agents and containerized applications. These agents are designed to preserve user confidentiality at every interaction point, aligning with regulatory compliance requirements across industries such as healthcare, finance, and enterprise solutions.
