Taking care of properties far away like in other countries can cost more because its harder for managers to check on them and deal with issues.

There are also extra expenses for knowing the local rules and taxes. Managing properties closer to home is usually easier and cheaper because its simpler to follow the local laws.

Fees for managing properties nearby are often lower than for ones far away.
