BTCC Mall is a scam crypto platform which claims to offer Bitcoin trading across the globe but is in fact a fake site designed to relieve investors of their money.
The platform claims to have been operating since 2011 and to hold licenses in the US, Canada and Europe.
However, no such licenses are held and the domain name was only set up a few months before this piece was written in 2023.
Claims made on the homepage that BTCC Mall is “the world’s longest running crypto exchange” are therefore nonsense.
Those who’ve contact PawProfitForum Team about this platform say they’ve been encouraged to invest by someone they’ve met online but after a certain point their accounts have been frozen.
The scammers have then demanded huge fees to release the money but if these are paid, the fraudsters will only demand more and at no point return any cash.
The platform is rudimentary at best and there are many red flags which show it to be a scam.
They include:
- No licensing or regulator information.
- No social media platforms connected with the site.
- A very basic cookie-cutter platform with no functionality.
- A Domain Authority (DA) score of 1 – the lowest possible.
- Clearly untrue claims on the homepage.
- Multiple reports of the platform being a scam.
I’ve been scammed by BTCC Mall, what can I do?
You should always report what’s happened to the authorities in your country, presenting them with as much information as possible.
There are also private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
