A victim of the OGC Wallet scam asked me to take a look at a website/app called Chukcoo mobile, which claims to be a crypto trading site, after they were contacted by someone on Telegram.
They were worried that Chukcoo could also be a crypto scam and they might lose more money after being previously duped by the promise of large profits.
Luckily they got in touch before investing as Chukcoo it’s clearly another fake crypto trading platform designed to scam users out of their money.
What makes Chukcoo a scam site?
As soon as you visit the site you can tell that it hasn’t been professionally built, unlike legitimate financial trading platforms.
It appears to act like many of the other crypto scam sites out there by enticing you to deposit funds by claiming to offer huge returns in a short space of time.
But once users try to withdraw their funds they’re told they need to pay a tax or commission before the cash will be sent to them.
If they pay, the scammers make further spurious demands for money before vanishing.
How can you sell Chukcoo is a fake platform?
There are loads of red flags which point to this being a scam.
These include:
- There is a pixelated generic shot of a hand holding gold dollar coins with the words ‘DIGITAL CURRENCY’ stamped over the top, which in itself doesn’t make any sense.
- The domain name is only a few months old, and the registrant details have been hidden.
- There is no information about the company or team on the website. In fact there’s no information about anything.
- The tab title text doesn’t match the name of the site – it reads ‘BtCin’.
- There are multiple warnings about the site online, with people highlighting Chukcoo as a scam site.
Yes. In my opinion this is 100% a scam site. Do not sign up, do not send any money and do not engage with anyone who approaches you to join.
They might initiate a conversation through a social platform or dating site using the profile image of an attractive female or male, but it’s all fake.
Chukcoo has been designed with the sole aim of fleecing unsuspecting investors out of their funds.
