❓ASK Do people actually gamble solely for fun?

I think my question is already very straight without getting to write so much explanations and over the time, I've heard several talks about people gambling for fun and at some point, i have to pause to think why will someone risk money just for fun, when there are several other games and activities that are entertaining without getting to risk money and at the end, I have to come to a conclusion that, this very statement is mostly used by people who make losses in gambling to cover the pains of their losses.

I would love to get the ideas of others on what you think about gambling for fun as the discussion is open to everyone.

Not all gamblers who enter casinos do so for fun, because the majority of gamblers still intend to make a profit most of the time, because they believe in luck and are willing to take risks to grow their small amount of money.

And there are others who are just passing the time because they are going through a problem that they find relief from by playing gambling.

The truth is , a lot of gamblers console their losses with idea of gambling for fun and over the time, I’ve got to realize that, those who claim to gamble for fun, are rose who make more losses and only use that to console themselves.

I don’t think gambling in course of trying to get rid of a bad moment is a great idea as you’ll end up getting more pained if the losses come which there are more chances of losses to come because such player isn’t emotionally sable and wouldn’t make actual or stable gambling decisions but rather start chasing losses.

Right chasing losses while in an emotional state can lead to more harm. Some gamblers say they're gambling for fun as a way to mask their losses or minimize the emotional impact but I think some people genuinely do enjoy the thrill of gambling without necessarily expecting to win or viewing it as a serious way to make money. It's probably more common for casual gamblers but once they get caught up in it that's when the fun can quickly fade and turn into the cycle of chasing losses.
