ISA Investment is a scam trading platform that claims to offer a range of investments, including cryptocurrencies.
However, the website is effectively a shell with a generic trading platform interface feed and offers no real investments to anyone who deposits funds here.
The person who contacted PawProfitForum Team about ISA Investment had created an account and funded it after striking up a friendship with someone who’d ‘accidentally’ messaged them on WhatsApp.
However, after they’d deposited a significant amount they found their funds were inaccessible, with the scammers demanding fees to unlock the cash.
This is tactic often used by fraudsters involved in what are known as pig butchering scams and will see the victim bled dry until they have no more money left.
ISA Investment scam giveaways
While the platform is better designed then many scam trading sites, there are several clear indicators that it’s a scam.
They include:
- The content is generic with nothing specifically related to the so-called company.
- There is no explanation as to how any returns are achieved through the platform.
- ISA Investment has no social media profiles or mobile apps.
- There are many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in the website’s content.
- If you search the web, you’ll find several reports about ISA Investment being a scam.
- Some pages purporting to contain relevant information for investors are simply blank.
- There is no address given for the company, with the only method of contact being a single email address.
- There is no background information about the company or the team behind it.
- The domain name was registered very recently – a sure sign that an investment platform could be fraudulent.
- ISA Investment has a very high Moz spam score of more than 50% indicating that the site is associated with other scam domains.
Recovering money from scammers is a difficult task and often there is very little you can do as an individual, aside from reporting what’s happened to the authorities in your country.
There are also private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
