Some Basic SEO Rules About Keywords

Keywords are very important; they play a very significant role in researching, especially in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) writing. It can make or break the rank in all search engines and it can very much help out a customer in need of time and information. Keywords are the essence and the general picture of SEO.

Sure a customer can browse through several options, but it can be irritating at times not to be directed to a specific page that they want to be. It would be time consuming to click those irrelevant articles and still not find the information he or she is looking for.

Though keywords seem simple and easy, there are still strategies and rules about them-some basic SEO rules that would help writers and customers alike. Here are some that should be learned by writers and customers as well, so they will have better knowledge on the area.

1. Use the right keywords. You can try to check on the commonly used keywords and key phrases that are related to the content of your article, and make sure that the description mirrors what is in your website.

2. Choose a good primary keyword. Since it is the most important keyword, majority of the article should discuss it purposely, and should be the in the first sentence of your first paragraph as well.

3. Decide on a secondary keyword. Choose one that can help increase the number of your potential visitors.

4. No single words. Though it is better to use shorter keywords and phrases than longer ones, single words are not advisable as it is very broad and tends to confuse the customers.

5. Check the spelling. Make sure that your keywords are not misspelled, as this would cause a serious problem in all search engines.

6. Know the keyword density. In theory, the higher the better but if the density is increasing to about 15%, then the article becomes confusing and a bit 'spammy.'

7. Test your final list. Though it takes time, checking your final list through Google is a must so you will at least have an idea how you rank in the search engines.

8. Monitor the developments of your keyword usage and find out if it is contributing to traffic increase. If not, do not hesitate to introduce changes or adjustments.

While it is true that search engines use different technologies that is way beyond a normal persons thinking, but it only boils down to the simplest of words. And that is how keyword is all about. How it can help customers get the information they need in a fast and easy way - how they can find what they are searching for online.

In my personal knowledge, the foundation of good SEO writing is actually keywords. I've discovered that using the appropriate ones can significantly improve people's ability to locate precisely what they're looking for online. I always try to use clear, targeted keywords because I find it annoying when I'm looking for something and end up on irrelevant pages. I've learned that choosing carefully and maintaining the content's natural flow is more important than simply stuffing articles with trendy terms. I continuously test, adjust, and monitor performance. SEO is strategy, not magic, and I think the best thing a writer or marketer can do is to become an expert in keywords.
