The person who spoke to me was then assigned an ‘advisor’ who guided them through the process of depositing money on the scam platform and earning through automated crypto investing and also set ‘tasks’.
As is typical with scams of this kind, the profits aren’t real, and the problems start when victims try to withdraw their money.
The victim said his account was frozen after he’d deposited more than $3,000, and the scammers demanded he pay a ‘commission’ to release the funds.
This is the typical method the scammers use to extract more money out of their victims before disappearing.
Fortunately, he didn’t send any more money so he was able to limit his losses.
