❌ SCAM Verified Crypto Traders Scam: Victim Duped Through Telegram

Scam flagged website/app or resource
Verified Crypto Traders is a Telegram scam group set up to trick would-be crypto investors into parting with their cash.
Victims are contacted at random through the social media platform and told of a fantastic cryptocurrency investment opportunity.
They are promised huge profits over a short period of time and shown messages from other members of the group who’ve alleged reaped the rewards.
The person who contacted PawProfitForum Team said they initially deposited a small sum to see how the platform worked and were quickly shown large ‘profits’.
Scammers demand tax so secure ‘profits’
They piled more money into the scheme and the profits continued to grow. But when they came to withdraw their cash, they were blocked from doing so.
The scammers told the victim they needed to pay a ‘tax’ before their funds could be released, but this sum was nearly half what they’d originally invested.
Fortunately, they refused to pay, but others facing similar situations have continued to hand over cash to scammers in the hope of getting their money back.
Team of fraudsters work together on scam
Verified Crypto Traders, like many other similar scams, uses a sophisticated network of fraudsters who play different roles in convincing victims that they’re involved in legitimate crypto trading activity.
These include ‘personal advisers’ – scammers who will liaise with victims one-on-one to reassure them that everything is above board, and group members – scammers who pose as fellow investors and share screenshots of their success.
They work together to build confidence in the scheme before extracting as much cash as possible from the victims and disappearing.
The Telegram group/website used in the Verified Crypto Traders scam will soon be shut down, only for a new one to spring up under a different name almost immediately.
Ignore approaches through social media
If anyone approaches you about a ‘get rich quick’ crypto scam online, it’s best to ignore their message and block them.
And if someone claims you can make huge profits in a short space of time they’re invariably lying.
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Can I get my crypto or cash back from Verified Crypto Traders?
The scammers are very clever and go to great lengths to hide their identity.
There are private companies that might be able to help which I’ve written about here.
