Old ATMs faced challenges in the USA, because manny people were unsure about this new way of banking since they were used to the traditional in-person style. Setting up ATMs and the needed infrastructure cost banks a lot, making it a financial challenge.

Educating individual about how ATMs worked and their benefits became crucial to change minds. Technical problems and early ATMs not working together well caused more issues. As banks improved security, educated users, and made ATMs more reliable, people's opinions changed.
