⍰ ASK What are the annual reporting requirements for companies in the USA?

In the US, businesses must do annual reports to follow rules and stay transparent. The rules vary based on the type of business and where it operates.

For corporations, they usually send an Annual Report to the states Secretary of State. This report has details about the companys leaders and registered agent. Corporations also need to have a yearly meeting with shareholder and write down what happens in the meeting.

Limited liability companies also do an Annual Report, sharing info about members and managers. Unlike corporations LLC might have more flexibility in their reporting, depending on the state.
