☑️ NEW what makes a sponsor happy

in sports, many brands put their names on an athlete’s head and on their team’s shoulders a lot of brands are associated with specific team sports now due to how obvious their names are planted on an athlete

but what does really make a sponsor happy? do they believe that even negative publicity is still publicity and still helpful to their brand? of course they want an always winning athlete but what if the athlete is not exactly the best personality in the sport does the sponsor also consider this? what do you think?

Sponsors, in my opinion, are more concerned with the athlete or team's overall image than with visibility or performance. Millions of people see a logo on a jersey, but what really makes an impact is the athlete's backstory. When choosing whom to align with, sponsors, in my opinion, definitely consider personality, behavior, and public perception. Most brands are searching for someone who shares their values, but some may accept controversy if it keeps the spotlight on them. Even successful athletes can lose deals if they act carelessly off the field, I've found. Therefore, in my opinion, being the best isn't as important as being marketable, relatable, and brand-safe over time.
